Application Information

The School of Nursing at LSU Health Sciences Center participates in a Centralized Application Service for Nursing Programs (NursingCAS). All applicants will apply online using the NursingCAS application. To learn more about the NursingCAS application process, please visit the NursingCAS web site at www.nursingcas.org.

The BSN to DNP Nurse Anesthesia program admits students in the summer each year. The application deadline is June 1st. Please refer to the Admission Criteria page for further information about qualifications and requirements. Here are a few pointers to ensure a successful application:

1. Application Form Please visit the NursingCAS website at www.nursingcas.org to fill out the online NursingCAS application. Search for LSUHSC School of Nursing in New Orleans, LA. 2. Transcripts Official transcripts from a regionally accredited college or university documenting the award of a BSN or BSN equivalent. All previous undergraduate and graduate transcripts must be submitted. All nursing course credits earned must be from a specialized nursing accredited program. *A BSN equivalent does not meet admission requirement without the conferral of a Master's degree.
